WildPetal Candle Care & Safety Guide

Before You Light

Trim the Wick: Before lighting your candle each time, always trim the wick to ¼ inch. This prevents the flame from getting too large, helps the candle burn cleanly, and prolongs its life.

The First Burn: The very first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the melted wax pool reaches the edge of the container. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn for the life of the candle.

While Burning

Never Leave Unattended: Please never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep.

Mind the Surface: Always place your candle holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is sturdy and large enough to catch any melted wax.

Follow the 2-Foot Rule: Keep lit candles a safe distance at least 2 feet away from anything flammable, such as clothing, books, curtains, or decorations.

Avoid Drafts: Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, open windows, or any air currents. This ensures a consistent flame and helps prevent excessive smoke.

Spacing: If burning multiple candles, place them at least 3 inches apart from one another.

Don't Overburn: Do not burn a candle for more than four hours at a time.

When to Extinguish

The Safety Margin: For your safety, discontinue burning a candle when only ½ inch of wax remains in the container. Burning past this point can cause the container to overheat.

Check the Flame: Extinguish a candle if the flame gets too large or too close to the candle holder or container.

Not a Nightlight: A burning candle should not be used as a nightlight.

How long does shipping take?

We make the majority of our beautiful products to order. Our goal is to prepare and ship your purchase within 1 to 3 business days, ensuring the quality is up to the highest possible standard before it leaves our care.

Note: Please allow an additional 1–2 business days for fulfilment during peak shopping seasons due to high order volume.

Do you ship internationally?

Right now, we are focused on bringing our fragments of nature to homes exclusively within the Australia

We currently do not offer international shipping but hope to share WildPetal with the world in the future as we continue to grow!

What is your return policy?

We put so much care into hand-pouring every WildPetal candle, and we hope you love your special moment! Because of the handcrafted nature of our products, we unfortunately cannot accept returns or offer refunds. All sales are considered final.

Damaged Items

We carefully package every item, but if your candle arrives damaged during transit, we want to make it right! To process a replacement and file an investigation with our shipping partner, please follow these steps:

  • Take photographic evidence of the damaged item(s).
  • Ensure the photos are date-stamped within 5 days of the delivery date.

Please email this evidence , and we'll take care of getting a replacement sent out to you!
