What is Jesmonite?

We like to think of Jesmonite as the "kind" alternative to traditional resin. It is an eco-friendly composite material that combines a mineral-based powder with a water-based acrylic. Here is why we love using it for our WildPetal décor:

• Eco-Friendly & Non-Toxic: Unlike traditional resins that can release strong fumes or "VOCs," Jesmonite is water-based and solvent-free. It’s safe for the environment and safe to have in your home.

• The Look of Stone, the Weight of a Feather: It has a gorgeous, smooth matte finish that feels like natural stone or fine ceramic, but it is much lighter and more durable.

• Built to Last: It is heat-resistant (perfect for sitting near your favourite candles!) and impact-resistant, so these pieces are designed to be part of your home for a long time.

• Handcrafted Character: Because it’s a natural material, each piece might have tiny, unique variations or "beauty spots" little air bubbles that remind you it was poured by hand with care.
Details & Care
Because these are handmade, they carry the warmth of a crafted object. They are sturdy yet delicate in appearance, finished with a matte texture that feels soft to the touch. To keep them beautiful, simply wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
